This Prezi project is a history of American Big Band music. We explore the genre from its beginnings in the early 20th century, to modern day Big Bands .
I designed this lesson to be a visual suppliment to the audio podcast I recorded on the same subject. They are both to be used for a unit on Jazz History in a high school jazz band, or even a concert band.
By the end of this lesson students will have a basic knowledge of the history and evolution of the genre of Big Band music.
